Welcome to Bella Vita or rather, welcome to the innermost workings of my psyche. I am not sure how you stumbled across my page, but don't get your hopes up. This is nothing more than the rants and raves of a

A longing to return....
Where were you 6 years ago?
Are you now where you'd thought you would be?
Who were you then?
Life propels us ever forward and like a flowing, river bed we erode into new.
This is my blog from January 2010, after my first semester of college.
There is a wonderful adage that now seems all too poignant, "we plan and God laughs". In six years, I've had experiences that I couldn't have even dreamed of when I first wrote this. I've been lucky. I have a rare opportunity now to expand upon this time capsule so I hope you won't mind too terribly; and, who knows, it might be a kick :) It's so interesting how we change and develop over time, yet many of our core values stay the same. Experience shapes who we are. What experiences did I have then that shaped me? Versus what is molding me now? In this course of self-reflection, I want to examine and juxatapose on who I once was. For clarity purposes, I will leave everything written from 2010 in a pink hue as I tend to look at that period with rose-tinted frames.
So here is my contract:
As an artist, I vow to bet on me.
To follow my passion
And let myself make mistakes.
I will be gentle with myself to let my craft flow through me organically.
I will be honest and take my time. I will not hide.
And I will not to give up on myself.
